Project Description

In order to undertake a complete restoration and renovation exercise of the Red House, it was decided that the Parliament of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago would be temporarily relocated from the Red House to Tower D of the International Waterfront Centre. The temporary accommodation occupied by Parliament and support services is approximately 9,300 square meters over 8 floors. ALTURA provided Services to the two Design-Build Contractors engaged on the project. For one of these Contractors, Agostini’s Limited, ALTURA led the team in the preparation of extensive tender documents for submission, and a detailed works programme which was used as a basis for the milestone payment system. Additionally, ALTURA participated in contract negotiations with the Employer, provided site supervision, and coordinated the consultants and subcontractors. The project was successfully completed in a compressed timeframe of two months.
