Project Description
As part of the Marriott’s “Experience New Again,” we spearheaded the Pre-qualification, Design Development, Tender, Contract Negotiation, Procurement and Construction phases. This project had an exceptional General Contractor who dug deep, a client who pulled the right levers that enabled optimum project performance, and ALTURA who, by working collaboratively and cooperatively with the parties, was able to establish and maintain synergy. In total, 119 guest rooms were renovated along with corridors while the hotel remained open with minimal disruption / disturbance to guests. The project presented a seemingly impossible challenge: Hotel to remain operational while all 119 guest rooms and corridors are gutted and renovated; work on only two (2) floors of either the East or West wing at a time; and complete the entire project in 6 months. Guest rooms are a Hotelier’s product, and offline rooms generate no revenue. Quickly returning finished rooms to the roster was the driver, while not compromising the in-house Guest Experience and Satisfaction.
ALTURA took the proverbial project bull by the horns and, by working collaboratively and cooperatively with the Parties, was able to establish and maintain synergy.
