The Brian Lara Cricket Academy, with a seating capacity for 18,000 persons, was originally conceptualized and designed for use in the 2007 Cricket World Cup. The project was plagued by cost and time overruns. ALTURA was appointed in July 2009 to provide Project Management Services to lead completion of the overall project within a specified budget. ALTURA successfully adhered to this mandate. In fact, at the time of ALTURA’s disengagement in September 2010, project completion was assessed at 93%. The project remained essentially dormant for 6 years. After the project resumed, ALTURA from September 2016 provided Contract Administration Services to Diamond Interiors Limited, the Media Tower and Suites Fit-Out contractor, until the facility was completed in August 2017.
